The cover art makes it look like some kind of weird disco-fusion thing, but it's not - there are some funky tracks, but Linda's vocals and Sonny's guitar are just too damn harsh to ever get all the way slicked back.Phil Freemanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05041604069121995890noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36273873.post-1174611343400367802007-03-22T21:55:00.000-04:002007-03-22T21:55:00.000-04:00Q: …has anyone heard any of the post-Sonny recordi...Q: …has anyone heard any of the post-Sonny recordings by Linda Sharrock?

I heard couple of things by her, both with Wolfgang Puschnig, one with Jamaaladeen Tacuma. Kinda ECM-ish (if that makes any sense).

…i'm finally realizing for real why "Dortmund (1976)" is a lot of people's favorite Braxton recording.

Might be tied with Willisau (Quartet) 1991 as my favorite Braxton. Unfortunately I lost my copy of Dortmund during a move (boo), and HAT have deleted it from their catalog (double boo).

S, tigthe improvising guitaristhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07517613086214719180noreply@blogger.com
