These were exact...Thank you for this great article! These were exactly the same feelings I had when I saw the Craig Taborn Trio in Munich at Jazzclub Unterfahrt two weeks ago. As I left the club after two sets I was completely blown away but I didn't know why. How did they manage to start with some simple repetitive figure, play along for forty minutes to leave me completely stunned ? Was this the reinvention of the piano trio ? Is this something new ? After two weeks of reflecting this questions I can say that there is still this feeling of pleasure but the questions are still unanswered :-) Thank you again, reading your article was a real pleasure!
